For families

What does a special-needs sitter cost in the Treasure Valley?

Members pay $35/hour. Non-members pay $45/hour. The membership tiers determine how many of those hours come bundled with your monthly fee.

Here is the math, laid out so you can decide.

Three paths

Standard

$100/mo

3 hours of sitting included.

$35/hour after.

Premium

$200/mo

7 hours of sitting included.

$35/hour after.

Drop-in

$45/hour

No monthly commitment.

$50 one-time onboarding fee on your first drop-in booking.

Worked examples

You book 4 hours in a month

  • Standard: $100 + (1 overage × $35) = $135$33.75/hr effective
  • Premium: $200 (all within the included 7)$50.00/hr effective
  • Drop-in: 4 × $45 + $50 onboarding = $230$57.50/hr first month

Standard is the obvious choice.

You book 8 hours in a month

  • Standard: $100 + (5 overage × $35) = $275$34.38/hr effective
  • Premium: $200 + (1 overage × $35) = $235$29.38/hr effective
  • Drop-in: 8 × $45 + $50 = $410$51.25/hr first month

Premium wins at higher use.

You only need 2 hours, once

  • Drop-in: 2 × $45 + $50 = $140$70.00/hr one-time

For one-off needs, drop-in is the right path. If you find yourself coming back, a membership pays for itself within the first month.

What the rates include

  • Background-checked, reference-checked, video-reviewed, credential-verified sitters.
  • A 20-minute video intro with the sitter is free to you before your first booking.
  • Real-time match handling and re-matching if a sitter cancels.
  • The sitter earns $25/hour, flat, regardless of which path you choose.

What the rates do not include

  • Tax. Idaho sales tax applies to the monthly membership in some scenarios. You will see it at checkout.
  • Tip. Sitters do not expect a tip. If you want to thank a sitter directly, do it in person — the platform does not pass tips through.
  • Cancellation fees, if you cancel late. (More than 48 hours: free. 12-48 hours: 50%. Less than 12 hours or no-show: 100%. Sitters earn on the same schedule for late cancels.)

Common questions

How much does a special-needs sitter cost in Idaho?
Through us: $35/hour for members or $45/hour for non-members (with a one-time $50 onboarding fee on your first drop-in). The Standard membership is $100/month for 3 hours of included sitting; Premium is $200/month for 7 hours. Sitters earn $25/hour flat. No insurance billing, no surge pricing.
When does the membership pay for itself?
Standard ($100/mo, 3 hours included) pays off if you book at least 2 hours/month versus drop-in. Premium ($200/mo, 7 hours included) pays off at about 6 hours/month versus drop-in. If you are not sure, start with Standard — you can upgrade or downgrade any month.
Do included hours roll over?
No. Hours reset on the 1st of each month. We chose this on purpose so the price stays simple and the math stays honest — you will always know what your month looks like.
Is there a contract?
No. Memberships are month-to-month. Cancel anytime; your hours stay good through the end of the paid period.
Do you take insurance, Medicaid, or the DD Waiver?
No. We are private-pay only. If you self-direct your DD Waiver and want to hire one of our sitters through your fiscal agent, that is a private arrangement outside our platform.
