Wedding-night sitters who can hold the whole evening
Weddings are the bookings that used to feel impossible. Long evenings, late nights, sometimes a drive home through Garden City at 11. A regular sitter doesn't always cut it.
Our sitters can. Off-duty pros who already understand kids like yours, comfortable with the bedtime routine and the small things that matter when you're not coming home until late.
What to expect
- Wedding bookings often run 6 to 9 hours — dinner, ceremony, dancing, drive home. Build in extra at the back end if you're driving from somewhere.
- Sitter handles dinner, evening routine, and bedtime. We'll surface only sitters comfortable with overnight-adjacent windows.
- Many families schedule a 20-minute video intro a week before the wedding so the sitter is a familiar face before the big night.
Booking tips
- Book at least two weeks out. Wedding-length bookings are competitive and we want to give you choice.
- If the bride or groom is a relative, mention any kid-related logistics in your booking notes — e.g. "my sister will FaceTime at 8 to say hi."
- If you have a long drive home, build a 30-minute buffer into the booking end time. Wedding traffic is real.
Common questions
- Can a sitter do an overnight?
- Not in v1 — our model is ad-hoc, not overnight. Most weddings work fine with a 9pm or 10pm end time and the sitter heading home after bedtime. If you genuinely need overnight, we'll point you to a different option.
- What if the wedding runs long?
- Text the sitter through the app. Most are willing to stay an extra hour at the same rate — we just need them to log it so we charge correctly.
